About Us

The Victoria Police Four Wheel Drive Club was established in June 2004 to promote interest in the safe, responsible and lawful pursuit of four wheel drive and all wheel drive touring. The club adheres to the "Tread lightly Philosophy" and the Four Wheel Drive Victoria Code of Ethics.

Club membership is open to all employees of Victoria Police and all Law Enforcement and Emergency Services in Victoria , as well as club members' family and friends. The club is open to both Four Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive owners.

The club has an established trip calendar that includes one and two day weekend trips, long weekend trips and extend trips (i.e. Simpson Desert, Red Centre) as well as mid week trips for shift workers. The club intends to have a weekend day trip and weekend trip every month and a mid week trip at least every second month. As membership increases more trips will be organised each month.

Recent club trips have included:

•  Day trips in Wombat, Mt Disappointment and Tallarook State Forests ;

•  Weekend trip to Whalhala and the Otways area;

•  A long weekend trip to the High Country; and

•  And extended trip through the Simpson Desert, Cape York and the Red Centre.

The club caters for all levels of driver competence and conducts 4WD driver training courses at a significantly reduced price for club members. Training courses available to members are: Proficiency and Intermediate 4WD training, Winch Recovery, Trip Leader, Level 2 First Aid and Chain Saw Training.
